Cream Legbar chickens are a popular auto-sexing breed known for laying blue eggs and having a distinctive crest. They are medium-sized, active, and hardy birds, thriving in various climates. Both males and females have unique plumage patterns, making them easy to identify at hatch.

  • Auto-sexing: Cream Legbars are known for their auto-sexing trait, meaning the chicks' down color at hatch can be used to determine their sex. 
  • Blue Eggs: They lay beautiful blue or sometimes greenish-blue eggs. 
  • Crest: They have a small, distinctive crest on their heads. 
  • Plumage: Females have a silver-gray body with a salmon-colored breast and barring. Males are cream with dark gray barring, especially on the breast and tail. 
  • Temperament: They are generally friendly, active, and curious birds. 
  • Hardiness: They are hardy in both cold and hot climates. 
  • Size: They are medium-sized, with roosters weighing around 6 pounds and hens around 5 pounds. 
  • Other: They are excellent foragers and do well in free-range environments
