Another fun staple breed for us here are Silkie chickens! These adorable little fur balls act as goofy as they look! Because of their beautiful feathering they often can't see a dang thing!
-Chinese breed of chicken with unusual features like black skin and bones, 5 toes instead of 4, and blue earlobes!
-They lay small white or light tan eggs and do not lay often
-Great breed for kids! They are also wonderful mothers and are often used to hatch eggs under and raise babies organically!
-Come in dozens of colors although only a few are recognized in the poultry associations
-Colors include: Black, Blue, Buff, Lavender, Splash, Partridge, White, Grey, Paint, Red and Cuckoo
-They can have many kinds of feathers such as Frizzle, Frazzle, Satin
Our Silkies are what we call our party pen, we have lots of different colors and feather types and will hatch these year round! They are a smaller breed of chicken so if you're short on space they are great to have!
 
We have multiple ages and are frequently hatching these out!
